At every point in the process, Wicca went the extra mile. When we first met, she took the time to understand my priorities and concerns, and she quickly caught on to my tastes. She introduced me to neighborhoods I didn’t know existed. Her expert eye caught potential hazards in some of the houses that we visited. As someone whose eyes glaze over when presented with fine print, I was grateful for Wicca’s diligence in walking me through every line in every document I needed to sign. Even after I closed on the house, Wicca helped me address a problem related to the termite inspection, making calls on my behalf and organizing a meeting to resolve the issue. I always felt that Wicca was looking out for my best interests.

This wasn't easy to find - I wanted a small home, all on one floor, close to downtown Takoma Park, on the Red Line....blah blah blah AND in the modest price range I could afford. Honestly I think many other agents would have blanched and told me they were all booked for the summer. But Wicca took me under her wing, and worked me with great good humor, charm, and infinite patience.She is practical ("are you going to want to walk down a long hallway in the middle of the night?"); she has an eye for invisible hazards ("now, I'm not an inspector, but I think there may be water damage under here"); she has imagination; and she has integrity - she actually talked me OUT of a house I loved because she didn't think I would be happy there long-term. And when we finally did find the right house, Wicca spotted a crack in the basement that looked like a small problem. She had the experience and judgment to arrange for an inspector AND a structural engineer; thought ahead and got contractor's quotes for the seller; and followed a long and harrowing process over several months until the house was repaired and in acceptable shape for me to buy. In Wicca Davidson you have a great client advocate, and an agent with great negotiating skills who will go the extra mile for her clients. Thank Heavens she is "Not your average real estate broker!"

Wicca was wonderful at all levels and in all aspects of the sale. In a difficult economy, she did everything possible to bring the house onto the market, and then to successfully guide the process from start to finish. She went the 'extra mile' so often I lost count of the miles! (You don't know me, but I'm an editor and I rarely use exclamation marks.) make this sale come true. Wicca has an uncanny ability to sense how people are feeling, and to make connections that last. She used her huge networks at various points to make sure that as many people as possible knew about the house, and knew about what was needed to make the house saleable.The house was in terrible condition. Wicca managed to find people to help cart away much of my mother's 50 years accumulated stuff for charity. She also helped me deliver several paintings for auction. We had a tree fall on the property. Wicca got help and dealt with PEPCO .Wicca has an uncanny ability to sense how people are feeling, and to make connections that last. She used her huge networks at various points to make sure that as many people as possible knew about the house, and knew about what was needed to make the house saleable.Our contract was for the house to be sold "as is." Wicca's conscience didn't let her leave debris or trash in the house. The paperwork was also complicated, since I got a DC tax notice declaring the house to be "abandoned" and therefore in a super-high tax category. Wicca calmed me down and guided me through the process of getting the designation delayed one year. She also handled the long period between the contract and the final settlement, requiring extra work on her part.

Wicca was my agent, assisting me with the sale of my late mother's house in Darnestown, Maryland. This was a complicated process, as there were family members still residing in the house, and my mother left behind more 80 years worth of accumulated possessions. Wicca was able to successfully negotiate a sale of the home within two months after listing, at the best possible price. But she also went above and beyond, working with my relatives as they transitioned to new living arrangements, and helping to clear the home of furniture, memorabilia, housewares, and so on. I know I could not have managed this on my own-- And I doubt there is another realtor anywhere who would have undertaken all that Wicca did, and done so with such grace and compassion.

Wicca took charge of managing the preparation and sale of the home in Chevy Chase of my deceased daughter, E. Her home was sold right after the open house. In addition, Wicca did all the difficult work and made the many decisions related to disposing of the contents of the house. I live in Chicago and all of E’s siblings and relatives live in places as far away as Australia. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful, conscientious, thoughtful, sensitive and helpful Wicca was to me and my family. Our unhappy task related to E’s passing away would have make it extremely difficult without Wicca’s help and attention. Wicca always responded to our requests and inquiries immediately and was “there for us”. We cannot sing the praises for Wicca enough. She is simply fantastic.

Wicca was recommended by mutual friends. She initially aided in my search for a temporary apartment related to my directed reassignment from Boston at this time last year, and that brief introduction made me confident in my desire to have Wicca help me find a permanent home. The federal reassignment put me on a one year clock, which if not met, would have cost me reimbursement on the closing costs and related taxes. Wicca grasped the importance of both finding a great place and of the time constraints I was operating under. I’ll admit I’m not the easiest person generally, and when dealing with such a large purchase, well, I appreciate how Wicca dealt with my lawyerly risk adverse nature. More significantly, the sellers were unrepresented and this lack of an agent and their lack of familiarity with the process created many serious problems with the transaction. Wicca handled the sellers and the situation with amazing skill. Wicca also understood how to get the deal accomplished. Without her, I do not believe I would have completed the transaction on time which is key to me. Frankly, without her, I’m not sure the transaction would have been completed at all. Given that the above is, to me, above and beyond what I expect from a real estate agent, I wanted to make sure you were are of Wicca’s skills and abilities and work.
